Karen Brown earns nursing pin

Karen Brown
Karen M. Brown, daughter of David and Deborah Burgun of Brocton, received her nursing pin on Aug. 6 in recognition of completing a Master’s of Science in nursing degree from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee. She is specializing in adult-gerontology primary care.
She previously completed a course of study at SUNY Brockport with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2003. Before Brockport, she graduated from Brocton Central School in 1999.
She has obtained employment as a Nurse Practitioner at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the adult neurosurgery clinic with a focus in outpatient neuro-oncology.
She currently resides in the Nashville area with her husband and two children.
