Polley named Valedictorian at Cassadaga; Wenger named Salutatorian

The Valedictorian for the class of 2019 is Jordan Polley. Jordan is the daughter of John and Melissa Polley and has two sisters, Alia Birt and Alexandra Polley, and a brother, Robert Polley.

At CVCS, you can find Jordan participating in Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.), Key Club and the Varsity Softball Team.

During her free time, Jordan also enjoys volunteering at the humane society. Next year, Jordan is planning on attending JCC and will be majoring in Nursing.

Anna Wenger, Salutatorian of the class of 2019, is an involved student at Cassadaga Valley. She has been a part of seven school musicals, with lead roles in the past two. Additionally, she performs with the Chautauqua Youth Chorus, school chorus, Valley Minstrels, and has been a part of the Trinity Masterworks Group. Anna is the captain of her Quiz Bowl Team, president of Science Club and History Club, treasurer of high school chorus and drama club, and is a founding member of the CVCS Media Team.

During the fall, she plays soccer as a lettered captain of the varsity team, for which she has been named Section VI Scholar Athlete honorable mention. As an honors student, she is also a member of the National Honor Society.

During the spring season, Anna is a member of the varsity golf team. Over the past few summers, Anna has worked as a gardening assistant, and referees for the Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer program. Anna lives in Gerry with her younger brother Isaac and parents Mark and Carolyn Wenger.

Next year, she plans on attending the University of Rochester for astrophysics and mathematics.
