Silver Creek Senior Citizens hold first meeting since March

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Citizens met on Tuesday, Aug. 4, their first meeting since March 10. The meeting was called to order by President Ed Newman with 17 in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance was followed by singing God Bless America.

President Newman gave the blessing before ice cream and cookies were enjoyed by all.

President Newman welcomed Ernie Hilliker’s daughter Linda, and announced that the new Chadwick Bay Water system has been connected, and some money has been received to finance the project.

Winner of the door prize was Sue Duecker, and 50-50 winners were Jean McDaneld, Sue Borowski, and Dixie Carlson.

President Newman called Bingo, and the winners were Lorrie Newman, Hilliker, Ginnie Chesbro, Mary Ann Seibert (wo times), Judy Hahn, Joan Suski and Enabell Marindo.

The next meeting is set for Aug. 11, at 1 p.m. and will feature pizza. The meeting closed with all singing the club song.
