Silver Creek seniors hold gatherings

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors held their first meeting of 2021 on Tuesday, May 4 with 16 members present. President Ed Newman opened with the pledge to the flag and everyone singing God Bless America. He then offered a short prayer, followed by a lunch of pizza and chocolate cupcakes. President Newman thanked Bob Sutehall for the donation of a book case which he had made.

Raffle winners were Janice Snyder, Earl Sheeler and Harry Suski. Wheel of Fortune winners were Gene Chesbro, Ruth Sheeler (twice), Janice, Bob, Ginny Chesbro and Sue Borowski. Bingo was called by Janice and the winners were Joan Suski, Judy Hahn, Ginny (3 times) and Sherry Spano.

The May 11 meeting had 27 members present. Newman opened with the Pledge to the flag and everyone singing God Bless America. Pauline Flitt offered a prayer before members enjoyed their lunches along with Pineapple cake, fluffy dessert, and an apple loaf.

Raffle winners were Gene Chesbro, Ed Newman, and Sue Borowski. Gifts were won by Carol DePasquale, Sally Conover and Ed. Wheel of Fortune winners were Enabel Mirando, Sue B., Harry Suski, Janice Snyder, Annette Hoeber, Ginny Chesbro and Joan Suski. Bingo winners were Sally, Ginny, Joan, Pauline, Richard Carlson, Ron Conover, Ed, Don Hoeber, and Mary Ann Seibert.

Next week’s lunch will be sloppy joes and desserts.
