Gowanda, Maple Grove earn High School Bowl victories at JCC

Gowanda Central School edged Maple Grove Central School, 62-54, in a recent Media One High School Bowl match at SUNY Jamestown Community College.

Maple Grove, in a previous match, recorded a 52-20 victory over Tidioute Community Charter School.

Earning Player of the Match honors were Logan Forthman of Gowanda, and Maple Grove’s Caleb Turecek and Jake Wozniak. Gowanda (1-1) was represented by Forthman, Sam Latimore, and Ben Latimore.

The Maple Grove team, out of the competition with its second loss, was made up of Turecek, Wozniak, Ryann Hayes, and Elizabeth Quadt.

Jolynn Upton, Ayden Bailor, Kash Kennedy, Owen Heenan, Lexis Drukenbrod, Lynsey Arthur, Olivia Egger, and Lauren Zahner competed for Tidioute, which also was eliminated with its second loss.

High School Bowl, in its 61st year, is produced by Media One Group in cooperation with JCC.
