Seniors awarded health scholarships

Family Health Medical Services has honored three high school seniors each with its annual Health Sciences Award for $1,000 toward their chosen college career.

Students receiving scholarships are Elizabeth Hammond of Chautauqua Lake Central School; Jack Pietro of Fredonia High School and Nathan Cresanti of Maple Grove Junior/Senior High School.

The award was created in 2019 for qualifying high school students within Chautauqua County who are enrolling to receive a degree in public health, health science, nursing, or other health related field. Applicants are required to submit a 500-word personal statement, 2 letters of support and demonstrate dedication toward a career in healthcare.
