The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 is pleased to announce their selection for Empire Girls State is Gabrielle Cunningham. Daughter of Mark and Erin Cunningham, and Tara Cunningham, she is a junior at Cassadaga Valley School where she excels in many things. She is a member of the Book Club, Debate Club, Key Club, is a Varsity tutor, played varsity soccer, has been involved in track for six years, is a member of the Valley Minstrels select choir, has spent six years in band playing the flute, has been selected for All County Band for four consecutive years, and has been inducted into the National Honor Society. Empire Girl State is a prestigious leadership and citizenship program. From June 30 to July 6, Gabrielle will join other New York State high school junior girls at SUNY Brockport to learn about government, leadership, and public service through hands-on activities.
