Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Lahnen

Katie Lynn Thies and Patrick Joseph Lahnen II were united in marriage on July 26, 2014 at their residence, which once was the bride’s grandparents’ Concord grape farm. The ceremony was performed by Justice of the Peace Richard Saletta. The outdoor, country rustic ceremony was performed in surroundings of burlap wine barrels and mossy oak break-up camouflage. Sunset Sound provided the music.

The bride is the daughter of Lynn Thies-Cummings and Michael Cummings of Angola and David Thies of Irving.

The groom is the son of Deena Austin Lahnen of Fredonia and Patrick Lahnen of Brocton.

The bride was escorted by her step-father, Michael Cummings.

The bride wore a custom-made camouflage mossy oak break-up with small train and detachable white skirt and a lace-up back. Her ensemble was strapless, with a silver diamond pendant accent and white/metallic cowgirl boots.

The bride’s best friend, Amanda Lynn Zabawa, served as her honor attendant. She wore an above the knee, one shoulder strap, matching mossy oak break-up camouflage ensemble with brown cowgirl boots.

Bridesmaids were daughter Brianna Lynn (junior bridesmaid); the bride’s cousin, Dylanne Seeley of Silver Creek, and her friends Kaitlyn Stetz of North Collins and Amber Gabel of Blasdell. The bridesmaids’ dresses were the same as the maid of honor. The junior bridesmaid’s dress was also a mossy oak break-up camouflage dress with two shoulder straps. It was knee-length with a small hunter’s orange train and a hunter’s orange chest strap. Cowgirl boots completed the ensemble.

Mackenzie Lahnen, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

The groom’s best friend, Nicholas Motto of Forestville, was the best man.

Groomsmen included son Alexander William (junior groomsman), the bride’s brother Joshua Thies of Angola, and the groom’s friends Angelo Rivera of Cassadaga and Joshua Estep of Dunkirk.

The ring bearer was Taylor Lahnen, nephew.

The couple’s newborn son, Lucas Patrick Lahnen was walked down the aisle by the bride’s mother. The best man held Lucas during the entire ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Lake Shore Central High School. She is currently employed as a server at Denny’s, a cook at Legion Post 59 and a cashier at Silver Creek Save-A-Lot.

The groom is a graduate of Brocton Central High School and the University of Northwestern Ohio. He is employed as an automotive technician at Basil Chevy Buick Cadillac.

A reception followed on the Concord grape farm where the wedding was held. The location includes 17 acres and a creek. The event featured photography by JenniLee Starcher of Brocton, Flowers by Anthony of Dunkirk, and the Cakery of Fredonia, with a mud-covered Super Swamper tire cake.
