Mr. and Mrs. Joshua M. Braymiller

Felicia L. (Steger) Braymiller and Joshua M. Braymiller were united in marriage at an outdoor, double ring ceremony in Portland, New York at 3 p.m. on July 21, 2018. The groom also presented vows and necklaces to the bride’s daughters during the ceremony. The officiant was the Reverend Sandra Lee Steger of Fredonia.

The groom is the son of Karen Braymiller of Portland and Andy Canales of Dunkirk.

The bride is the daughter of Phyllis and Allan Parks of Brocton and David and the late Janeva Steger of Kansas. She was escorted by her father and stepfather.

The bride sang a memorial song with daughters Victoria and Lauralie accompanying. The song was dedicated in memory of the bride’s grandmother, Betty Mele and the groom’s grandmother, Alene (Pat) Barrus and for all others who were unable to be present.

The bride chose an ivory strapless mermaid gown with lace accents.

The flowers were white roses and cobalt and purple flower arrangements. Boutonnieres were in rifle shells.

The maid of honor, Vanessa Blaisdell, wore a purple high low strapless dress.

Bridesmaids Erin Deming and Chrissy Baez wore cobalt strapless high low dresses.

Flower girls included Adriana Battaglia, who carried a flower pillow; Lauralie Battaglia, who carried a flower basket and Victoria Battaglia, who carried a “last chance to run” sign. All were dressed in miniature off-the- shoulder wedding ball gowns.

The groom chose Scott Deming Jr. as his best man. Groomsmen were Boo (Phillip) McKeown and Patrick Lahnen.

The reception was held on the same outdoor site as the ceremony. The bride and groom stayed in cabins on site.

The bride graduated from Fredonia High School in 2003 and attended Jamestown Community College in 2005. She is currently employed through Securitas as site supervisor at Dunkirk Steel.

The groom graduated from Westfield High School in 2005, and from the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2008 with an associate’s degree.

The couple spent a week in St. Augustine. They swam with dolphins, and took pictures with 13 foot alligators.

The Braymillers reside on Sixth Street in Dunkirk.
