Candlelight ceremony unites Ann Carr, Richard Bartkowiak

During a candlelight ceremony the evening of Oct. 10, 1980 at the United Methodist Church of Sheridan, Miss Ann Lowery Carr exchanged wedding vows and rings with Mr. Richard Paul Bartkowiak. The Rev. Harold Schwantes, pastor, officiated at the 6 o’clock nuptials with music by Lucy Giambra, organist and soloist.
Candelabras tied with white bows and greens decorated the aisle and altar.
Deb Gworek was maid of honor, Robin and Rosemary Bartkowiak, sisters of the groom and Kay Bartlett were bridesmaids.
Junior bridesmaids were Susan Carr, sister of the bride and Rita Bartkowiak, sister of the groom.
Serving as best man was Mr. Robert Bartkowiak, brother of the groom. Ken Somerfeldt, cousin of the groom, Tom Stepp and Chuck Cutrona were groomsmen.
“Driftwood” played music for the dinner-reception at The White Inn of Fredonia.
Rich and Ann Bartkowiak will celebrate their 40th anniversary on Oct. 10, 2020.
Rich and Ann reside in Fredonia where they raised their three children, Richard, Daniel and Katie.
They thank the Lord for their many blessings through the years. Their three children are all married and they have six grandchildren.
Their children are Richard and Brittany (children Blake and Belle) of Franklin, Tennessee, Daniel and Bethany (children William, Owen and Julia) of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and Jake and Katie Richards (son Roman James) of Gallatin, Tennessee.
