Markham of Westfield was charged Sept. 7 at 6:43 a.m. with fourth-degree criminal mischief after Westfield police officers responded to a report of a disorderly man. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — WESTFIELD —- At around 8 p.m. Friday, deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported past tense altercation. Through an investigation it was found that 41-year-old, Larry M. Houser of Westfield did subject another person to unwanted physical contact as well as prevent them from contacting emergency services. Houser was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Joseph A. Snyder, 41, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny, two counts of public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child at 11:09 a.m. Thursday after officers responded to a downtown business for a reported shoplifting. Snyder allegedly stole merchandise from the business. Officers located and arrested Snyder before he could leave the property. During the investigation, officers also learned that Snyder had allegedly exposed himself to both an adult and a juvenile while outside the downtown business. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Christopher Frederick, 56, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest at 7:45 a.m. Thursday after officers were dispatched to a business on the west side of Jamestown for a reported harassment complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a woman who said an unknown white male approached her vehicle and began yelling threats at her while her 11-year-old son was inside the vehicle. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — CHAUTAUQUA — The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office was made aware of a vehicle complaint on Route 430 around 5 p.m. Friday. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop and identified the operator to be Jack E. Wyant, 21, of Kennedy. Following an investigation, Wyant was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, speed in zone, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Fletcher, 41, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and inadequate lights after officers pulled a vehicle over at 9:15 p.m. Thursday on Fairmount Avenue after officers saw a vehicle being driven without lights.
