Sheridan woman charged following alleged identity theft
Investigation into a complaint of identity theft led to a Sheridan woman being charged.
In February, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office received the complaint from a victim that a service account had been set up in his name without his permission. Upon investigation, it’s alleged that Lisa A. Gandy, 50, of Sheridan, opened the account in the victim’s name without his permission.
Gandy was charged with third-degree identity theft and was issued an appearance ticket to Dunkirk Town Court at a later date.
Ripley man nabbed on parole warrant in Pa.
RIPLEY — A 30-year-old town resident is no longer on the lam.
Around 5:44 Friday morning, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies assisted the U.S. marshals in locating John D. Dunmyer Jr. Dunmyer was wanted out of the state of Pennsylvania for a parole warrant. Dunmyer was located and taken into custody without incident.
Dunmyer was arraigned in Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail pending extradition back to Pennsylvania.
Accident leads to charge against Clymer man
FRENCH CREEK — Sheriff’s deputies responded to Bakerink Road in the town of French Creek on Thursday for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, it was found that Dale W. Rager was traveling southbound of Bakerink Road when he struck a tractor going the same direction. Rager was going to fast and could not stop in time to avoid the collision. Rager was treated at the scene by EMS personnel and then flown by Star Flight to UPMC Hamot.
The individual in the tractor did not sustain an injuries from the accident. Rager was issued a citation and will appear in French Creek Town Court on a later date.

Lori Pettit Rieman, Cattaraugus County District Attorney, reported the following activity in Cattaraugus County Court:
¯ Indigo Vantino, 24, of Gowanda, was sentenced to a one year conditional discharge for his conviction to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. The incident occurred on or about Sept. 12, in the village of Gowanda, when the defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance.

¯ IRVING — Thomas M. Kiley, 43, of Hanover, was charged Tuesday with second-degree aggravated harassment. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kiley on an arrest warrant issued by Hanover Town Court for the charge of second-degree aggravated harassment. It’s alleged that Kiley threatened another individual in the town earlier in the month. Kiley was arraigned and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail on bail.
≤ HANOVER — After pulling over a vehicle Tuesday on Route 5 and 20, deputies allegedly found the driver, Zachary D. Mota, 24, of Ripley, to be intoxicated.
Mota was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and moved from lane unsafely. He is scheduled to answer his charges in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
≤ STOCKTON — At midnight on Tuesday, deputies observed a suspicious vehicle stopped on Dale Drive. Upon investigation the driver of the vehicle, Reanna I. Tarnowski, 19, of Fredonia was alleged to be intoxicated.
Tarnowski was taken into custody and released with the following charges: driving while intoxicated and DWI per se.
She is scheduled to appear in Stockton Town Court at a later date.
≤ HANOVER — On Monday at approximately 9:50 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Stebbins Road for failing to keep right.
The driver, Spencer M. Jackman, 28, of Irving, was alleged to be intoxicated.
Jackman was taken into custody and later released with tickets to appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date. He was charged with fail to keep right, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se.
Dunkirk Police
¯ Gabriel Laranes-Padilla, 20, of Dunkirk, was charged Friday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving and speed not reasonable.
¯ Joshua Sosinski, 28, of Dunkirk, was charged Saturday with possession of a hypodermic instrument.
¯ Nicholas Rollins, of Erie, Pa., was charged Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
¯ Lars Yambo, 19, of Dunkirk was charged Sunday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (CPCS) and seventh-degree CPCS.
¯ Monica Pena, 25, of Dunkirk, was charged Monday with third-degree criminal mischief.
