Fredonia teen charged with burglary

A 16-year-old Fredonia male was remanded to the county jail on Saturday after allegedly stealing several items earlier last week.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a location on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret for the report of a burglary last Thursday. Upon investigation, deputies determined that the teen subject allegedly entered a dwelling and took numerous items without permission. It’s also alleged that he caused damage to the inside.

The male was taken into custody on Saturday and was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail. He will appear in Pomfret Town Court at a later date.

MAYVILLE — A Mayville man faces a disorderly conduct charge after a Saturday night incident.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to South Erie Street at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday for reports of two males who were possibly under the influence of drugs and acting in a matter dangerous to themselves. After further investigation and after speaking to the subjects, Erik S. Baker, 22, was taken into custody. He was transported to the county Sheriff’s Office for arrest processing and later remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on pre arraignment bail.

SILVER CREEK — A Silver Creek man faces third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief charges after a Saturday arrest. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Jaekle Avenue location at about 12:56 p.m. Saturday for a criminal mischief report. Upon further investigation, deputies determined Travis J. Eaton, 35, had entered a residence without permission. Deputies also found Eaton damaged property while in the residence. Eaton was arrested, charged, arraigned in Village of Silver Creek court, then remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
