Pa. man charged with aggravated DWI, resisting arrest
WESTFIELD — On Wednesday at about 5:53 p.m., Westfield patrols received a vehicle complaint on Route 20 in the town of Westfield. Patrols located the vehicle in question on Route 20 in the town of Westfield, when the vehicle allegedly entered the opposite driving lane, almost striking the patrol car head on.
The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as Douglas R. King, 62, of Northeast, Pa. Upon further investigation, King was given standardized field sobriety tests that were allegedly failed. While placing King under arrest, King allegedly became defiant and actively resisted arrest. Patrols were able to secure King, and he was transported to Westfield Police Department for processing.
King’s blood alcohol content was allegedly .26 percent, which is three times the legal limit. He received the following charges: failed to use designated lane, failed to keep right, drove across hazard markings, moved from lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI .18 percent or higher and resisting arrest.
King was transported to the centralized arraignment program at Chautauqua County Jail.
Overdose victim revived with Naloxone
SHERIDAN — A 36-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital after an overdose in a vehicle this morning.
Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of state Route 20 and O’Brien Road around 2 a.m. On arrival CPR was being performed on a female victim.
Deputies administered Naloxone to the female victim. She began to breathe and became alert.
The female victim was transported by Alstar ambulance. The office was assisted by Sheridan Fire Department and a Chautauqua County medic
¯ On Sunday Ronald I. Walter, 52, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
¯ On Monday John R. Klemann, 43, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and no tail light
¯ On Tuesday Larry L. Casey III, 28, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
¯ On Tuesday Cody R. Sugg, 25, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree menacing.
