Gowanda Police Department

¯ On Aug. 13 at around 8 a.m., patrol stopped a vehicle for having no inspection sticker. A DMV computer check revealed that the license of the driver, Nicholas S. Mason, 23, of Collins, was allegedly suspended. Mason was arrested and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no inspection sticker. Mason was later released on an appearance ticket to appear in town of Persia Court.

¯ On Aug. 16 at about 12:30 a.m., patrol was advised by the Erie County Holding Center that Wilberto Negron, 38, of Gowanda, was being released from an unrelated arrest. In August 2017, Negron had been arrested by Gowanda Police for second degree aggravated unlicensed operation. When Negron failed to appear in court to answer the charge, a warrant for his arrest was issued by town of Persia Court. Negron was turned over to Gowanda Police Department, where he was arrested on the warrant. Negron was arraigned in town of Persia Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

¯ On Aug. 17 at roughly 4:45 p.m., patrol stopped a vehicle for a loud exhaust on Sand Hill Road. A DMV computer check revealed that the license of the driver, Teri A. Gates, 32, of Irving, was allegedly suspended. Gates was arrested and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation and exhaust violation. Gates was later released on an appearance ticket to appear in town of Collins Court.
