Sinclairville woman picked up on drug charges

LITTLE VALLEY — A Sinclairville woman has been picked up on an arrest warrant tied to drug charges.

Tracy Griffin, 37, of 3130 Terry Road, was picked up by Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday. She is facing two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Griffin was transported to Salamanca court and held until arraignment.

Dunkirk woman charged in criminal mischief

SHERIDAN — A Dunkirk woman is facing charges after allegedly damaging property Saturday morning.

At 1:15 a.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded to an address in the town for a reported incident. It is alleged that Nilsa Rivera, 56, damaged the property of another individual at the residence. Rivera was issued an appearance ticket for fourth-degree criminal mischief. She will answer to the charges in the town of Sheridan court at a later date.

Wanted Jamestown man nabbed in Mayville

MAYVILLE — A Jamestown man, wanted on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges, was nabbed Saturday morning after a suspicious situation on Potter Road.

At about 5:45 a.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of multiple subjects allegedly attempting to enter a building. Deputies arrived and located an unwanted female on the property, who claimed she was alone.

As a precaution, sheriff’s office K9 Link was deployed on a human odor track around the property. K9 Link located odor and began tracking down the road from the residence. K9 Link continued tracking from Potter Road onto Card Road approximately one-half mile. K9 Link then began tracking through a wooded area, where it did locate suspect Ryan J. Paulisick, 26.

Paulisick was taken into custody and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. The caller found the property to be secure and wished the female removed without charges.

Wanted Jamestown man facing drug charges

SHERMAN — A Jamestown man, stopped for a traffic violation, is in hot water after Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies found drugs and other items in his vehicle.

At about 9:18 p.m. Friday, deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 430. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Scott C. Cederquist, 60. An investigation into the incident revealed that Cederquist was operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs and was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and metal knuckles.

It was also found that Cederquist had an active arrest warrant out of the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies charged Cederquist with DWAI-drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Cederquist was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned on the arrest warrant and is scheduled to be in the Town of Sherman Court to answer to the additional charges.
