≤ On Oct. 13, troopers out of the Jamestown station arrested Michael Austin, 39, of Cassadaga, for two counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Austin was pulled over on Route 60 in Gerry for a traffic violation. A check of Austin’s driving record revealed that his license was suspended and Austin was subsequently placed under arrest. A search of Austin and his vehicle revealed bags containing nine grams of methamphetamine, a glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue, a digital scale, baggies and a cut off straw and a spoon, both containing methamphetamine residue. Austin was processed at the Jamestown station and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.
