Police investigating Gowanda area fatal crash
GOWANDA — The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that took place early Friday.
In a news release, Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard said the crash occurred around 4 a.m. along Route 438 near the village of Gowanda border. Deputies were called to the scene, between Buffalo Street and Taylor Hollow Road.
Deputies reported multiple victims, in addition to one fatality.
Gowanda police assisted at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation; no further information has been released.
