PERRYSBURG – On July 11, Sanda D. Cooper, 42, of Irving was arrested on a felony bench warrant.

After identification, Cooper was turned over by New York State Police following a traffic stop. She was taken into custody by the Sheriff’s Office and transported to Cattaraugus County Jail to await further proceedings.

Evans Police Department

¯ On July 2, Tyler Boyles was arrested for alleged trespassing and disorderly conduct, refusing to move on.

Patrol responded to a disturbance in Evans Town Park where patrols then cleared the park of all visitors as a result of the disturbance. Boyles refused to disperse and refused to leave the park. The offender was also shouting obscenities and profanity while in the park. The offender was requested by patrol several times to leave the park before taking the offender into custody. Boyles was issued an appearance ticket for each of the listed offenses and released at the scene.

¯ On July 2, Alexis H. Pennacchio, 21, of Tonawanda was arrested for alleged unsafe backing of vehicle, operator leaves the scene of property damage accident, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and operation of a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver.

A complainant reported that Pennacchio backed out of a parking space and struck their car, which was parked and unoccupied. Witnesses say that Pennacchio fled the scene after assessing the damage. Pennacchio was pulled over and arrested for their charges.

¯ On July 2, Joshua D. Thies was arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right on a two lane road, moving from lane unsafely, driving to the left of pavement markings and speed not reasonable and prudent.

Thies was involved in a one-car rollover accident because of a deer on Lake Shore Road. After investigation, Thies was found to be under the influence of alcohol after failing multiple standard field sobriety tests. Thies was arrested and charged, and other occupants in the vehicle were transported to the hospital for injuries.

¯ On July 2, Brandon G. Bernard, 19, of Boston was arrested for allegedly resisting arrest and disorderly conduct with violent behavior.

Patrol responded to a reported disturbance at the Evans Town Park including a group of youths drinking and causing a disturbance at the beach. Bernard was yelling at one of the youths when patrol asked him to step away. After attempting to arrest Bernard, he broke away from patrol and attempted to flee. Bernard was then tased and brought to the ground to be arrested. He was brought to the police station, where he was eventually released to his parents and is expected to be in court at a later date.

¯ GERRY — Casey Saeger, 32, of Gerry, was charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Troopers received a complaint of a domestic incident Monday. An investigation found that while driving home from a party, Saeger allegedly moved to the backseat and choked the victim, preventing her from breathing. Saeger then reportedly returned to the front seat and head-butted the victim in the face, causing injury to her eye. Saeger was processed and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ CONEWANGO VALLEY — Michael Hitchcock, 58, of Kennedy, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Hitchcock was stopped Tuesday on Cowen Corners Road in Conewango Valley for a traffic violation. He was taken into custody after he allegedly failed several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of 0.12%. Hitchcock is scheduled to appear in Conewango Valley Court later.
