Dunkirk parole absconders located in multi-agency search
Two parole absconders were located Thursday in a multi-agency search.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Dunkirk Police Department assisted New York State Parole in locating 34-year-old Joshua A. Powell, wanted on an original charge of second-degree burglary, and 32-year-old Byron K. Oakes Jr., wanted on a charge of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The two Dunkirk men were remanded to Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
