¯ HANOVER — Jordan A. Martinez, 24, of Buffalo, was charged with driving while intoxicated — Leandra’s Law, DWI common law, endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful possession of marijuana, speed not reasonable and prudent and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies were called at 1:49 a.m. Sunday to a vehicle off the road on Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover. The driver was identified as Martinez, who was with a 4-year-old in the vehicle. An investigation found that Martinez was allegedly operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. A small amount of marijuana was also located. Martinez was transported to Chautauqua County Jail, and the 4-year-old was turned over to family at the scene.

¯ On Jan. 21, Gary T. Ortolano, of Dunkirk was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
¯ On Jan. 22, Ricardo Alvarez, 47, of Dunkirk was charged with DWI, DWI per se, refusal of a prescreen, no seat belt, moved from lane unsafely, failure to signal and failure to stop at a stop sign.
¯ On Jan. 24, Leanna K. Honaker, 27, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and disorderly conduct.
¯ On Jan. 25, Selena J. Ruiz, 24, of Dunkirk was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, failure to comply, failure to use designated lane, inadequate signal, inadequate muffler and no seat belt.
¯ On Jan. 25, Cheryl L. Jessie, 57, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and inadequate muffler.
¯ On Jan. 25, Christopher Vazquez-Cancel, 22, of Dunkirk was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal menacing and second-degree menacing.
¯ On Jan. 27, Daniel P. Klee, 58, of Dunkirk was charged with failure to register or verify.
