Ripley man charged in threat to kill

RIPLEY — A town resident is facing second-degree menacing charges after allegedly putting the gun to the head of another person.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report they received a complaint from a victim who stated they had been threatened by another subject Tuesday. After a further investigation was completed, it was alleged that Isiah Fuentes, 22, displayed what appeared to be handgun, then put the gun to the head of the victim and threatened to kill the victim.

A warrant of arrest was issued for Fuentes for the charge. Fuentes was located on Thursday and was taken into custody. Fuentes was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Fuentes was later released.

Man extradited in attempted murder

RANDOLPH — A Ridgway, Pa., resident was extradited back to Cattaraugus County on Friday from Pennsyvlania in connection with an attempted murder that occurred at an earlier date.

Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies reported that George A. Hollobaugh was being charged with second-degree attempted murder in connection with allegedly attempting to set a woman on fire in May. He was being held in Pennsylvania on an unrelated charged.

He was arraigned in Little Valley Town Court and was sent to Cattaraugus County Jail on $100,000 cash bail and $200,000 bond. He is to be in town of Randolph court at a later date.
