CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ ELLERY — Osvaldo R. Villegas, 30, of Bemus Point, was charged with second-degree menacing and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies responded at 8:24 p.m. Monday to an Ellery residence for a reported altercation. An investigation found that Villegas allegedly menaced another person in the presence of persons under the age of 17. Villegas was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court later.

¯ JAMESTOWN — Joseph Chadwick, 20, of Cherry Creek, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Troopers stopped Chadwick on Friday for a traffic violation on Foote Avenue in Jamestown. He was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. Chadwick was evaluated by a drug recognition expert and was reportedly determined to be under the influence of cannabis. Chadwick is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court later.
