— A traffic stop of a Buffalo man by Jamestown police led to numerous drug charges.

At 8:21 p.m. Wednesday, Jamestown Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Barker Street and South Main Street for the vehicle only having one head light. Through an investigation, the driver Haitham K. Kassem, 25, of Buffalo was found to be in possession of 125 Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills, 48 Clonazepam pills, and a quantity of Methamphetamine. During transport to the city jail Kassem attempted to conceal 1.7 grams of Fentanyl in the back seat of the patrol car which was located by officers.

Kassem was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle with one headlight.

Kassem was held pending arraignment.

— An incident with a knife has led to charges for a 38-year-old male.

Jamestown Police responded to North Main Street before 5 p.m. Wednesday for a civil complaint. Dustin Reagan, of Jamestown, reportedly had displayed a knife during an altercation toward the victim.

He was later located at his residence and transported to Jamestown City Jail after being charged with second-degree menacing. Reagan was later released on an appearance ticket.

— At about 11:36 p.m. Saturday, Jamestown officers responded to an address on the southside of the city for a disorderly person. Officers made contact with Ruben Planas, 34, and a male victim. Through investigation it was discovered that Planas assaulted the male victim.

Planas was taken into custody and transported to city jail. He was charged with third-degree assault. He was held pending arraignment.
