JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Khalif O. Swanson Jr., no age or address listed, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers stopped a vehicle at 8 p.m. Monday on the north side of the city. An investigation found that Swanson and another person were allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. Swanson reportedly attempted to flee and was located a short time later inside a business with a person who had a stay away order of protection. He was held for arraignment in court.

¯ Kathie R. Potts, 59, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated and moving from lane unsafely. Officers responded at 7:09 p.m. Sunday to the north side of the city for an injury accident. It was determined that Potts was allegedly driving while intoxicated, crossed lanes and then struck another vehicle. Potts was released with appearance tickets. Further charges are pending.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ WEST SENECA — Paul J. Biellak., 39, of Angola, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated with a previous conviction within 10 years after a Sunday accident. Troopers responded to a disabled vehicle on Southwestern Boulevard. During the interview with Biellak, he was exhibiting signs of impairment. Troopers determined Biellak had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition and later he failed standardized field sobriety tests. He was released with tickets for the town of West Seneca court, where he is due at a later date.

¯ On Saturday, at 12:48 a.m., troopers charged Shaun M. Carter, 44, of Buffalo, with driving while intoxicated after responding to a report of a vehicle off the roadway on state Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. During the interview with Carter, Troopers noted the odor of beverage alcohol, glassy eyes as well as failure of standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Carter was transported to Fredonia, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.14% blood-alcohol content. He is to be in Pomfret court later.

¯ At 5 p.m. Sunday, troopers on patrol stopped Natasha D. Keller, 23, of Dunkirk after she was observed traveling 71 mph in a posted 50 mph zone on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. During the interview with Keller, troopers noted signs of impairment, as well as her reluctancy of completing standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Keller was arrested and transported to Fredonia, where a chemical breath test revealed her to have a 0.24% blood-alcohol content — three times over the legal limit. She is to be in Pomfret court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

¯ SILVER CREEK — A Forestville resident is facing drunk-driving charges. At 11:38 p.m. Feb. 24, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Main Street. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Rory D. Evancho, 31. Further investigation found Evancho to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Evancho was charged with DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and insufficient tail lamps. Evancho was later and will be in Hanover court later.

DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Lisa George, 40, of Dunkirk, was arrested March 3 and charged with false personation.

¯ Robert Kaczor, 28, of Dunkirk, was arrested March 3 and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

¯ Nicholas Watts, 31, of Dunkirk, was arrested March 3 and charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator and obstructed license plate.

¯ Damian Buchanan, 29, of Dunkirk, was arrested March 3 and charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

¯ John Jenrette, 55, of Dunkirk, was arrested March 4 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

¯ Keshia Stewart, 25, of Dunkirk, was arrested March 4 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator and insufficient turn signal.

¯ Dale Miller, 41, of Dunkirk, was arrested March 4 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and second-degree criminal contempt.

¯ Brittany Lombardo, 24, of Dunkirk, was arrested March 7 and charged with second-degree harassment and third-degree assault.
