— A pair of city residents are facing drug charges after an incident Saturday evening.

Around 8:58 p.m., officers observed a female using narcotics on West Fourth Street. Star Bliss, 31, was with another subject, later identified as Jason Passinger, 48. Both were found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Both were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Upon arrest, a metal knuckle knife was located on Bliss’ and she was subsequently charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

— A reported larceny that was taking place early Friday has led to charges for an 18-year-old woman.

Madeline Gambrill of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of child after officers responded to 7-Eleven on East Second Street around 1 a.m. While responding to the business it was learned that the suspects fled the scene in vehicle that was being followed by witness.

Officers were able to located the vehicle in question within the City and subsequently arrested Gambrill and detained three juveniles. Through investigation it was learned that Gambrill and one of the juveniles entered the 7-Eleven and took merchandise without paying.

It was also found that Madeline dragged a female victim with her vehicle as she fled the scene. The three juveniles were turned over to their guardians. She was arraigned on the charges and later released.

— A 24-year-old Jamestown man has been charged after being seen with a weapon early Saturday.

Christian M. Jewell was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration after officers responded to a call for a person with a weapon in the area of Chandler and Cross streets after 1 a.m.

Jewell was with two other subjects in the area. While officers attempted to conduct an investigation into the complaint, Jewell became disorderly and not following officer’s verbal commands. Jewell attempted to leave the scene and pull away from officers several times. Jewell made several threats towards officers and slapped the hand of an officer.

He was transported to the City Jail, where he was held pending arraignment.

— Abner Cintron Melendez, 38 of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal possession, a forged instrument and having an unregistered motor vehicle and an uninsured motor vehicle.

At approximately 7:44 p.m. Friday, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction on West Fifth Street near North Main. Upon identifying the operator as Cintron Melendez, it was determined he was operating the vehicle on forged Ohio temporary registration. Cintron Melendez was taken into custody and was transported to the Jamestown city jail. He was being held in the city jail pending arraignment.

— A traffic stop Friday led to charges against a 36-year-old man. Around 2:43 p.m., officers of the Violent Crime Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an observed traffic infraction in the area of West Fifth and Washington streets. Upon making contact with the operator, officers knew the male to be Brandon M. Anderson. Anderson gave officers a state driver’s license belonging to another male to portray himself to be that male.

Through an investigation it was determined that Anderson was attempting to evade arrest as he had an active arrest warrant out of the City of Jamestown. He was taken into custody on his arrest warrant and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. A search incident to arrest revealed that he was attempting to conceal a quantity of Fentanyl while in the Jamestown City Jail. He was subsequently charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, tampering with physical evidence, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and his outstanding arrest warrant. He was held in the City Jail pending arraignment.

— A 26-year-old city man is facing charges after an afternoon incident Thursday. At 2:13 p.m., city officers responded to a south side address for a reported Peace Officer request. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim.

Upon further investigation, it was found that Kade R. Farbo, burned property belonging to the victim, and texted the victim via phone, violating a duly served stay away Order of Protection. Farbo left the residence, but was located by officers a short distance away.

Farbo was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail, where he was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
