CHARGED IN ASSAULT

WITH KNIFE

A Jamestown woman is facing numerous charges after an assault at a southside residence late Saturday.

Brandi R. Haight, 33, is facing charges of first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree burglary, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny. Upon arrival on scene around 10 p.m., officers located the victim inside of the residence with a severe laceration to her face.

During the investigation it was determined that Haight kicked the victim’s door in and armed herself with a knife from the victim’s kitchen. Haight then used the knife to stab the victim in the face causing a severe laceration.

She left the scene prior to officers arrival, however, she was located in a vehicle shortly after at another location in the City of Jamestown. Brandi ran from the vehicle and resisted officers on scene.

Haight was transported to Jamestown City Jail where she is held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court at a later time.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Dustin D Pickett, 35, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny and third-degree burglary after an incident Friday.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the Northwest Arena for a burglary in progress. Through an investigation it was determined that Dustin Pickett did enter the building and accessed a restricted area of the business in an attempt to steal property. Pickett also stole the tip jar belonging to the cafe that had a total value of $15.

He was located shortly after and was placed into custody and was transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
