CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– MAYVILLE – Thomas Schmid Jr., 34, of Mayville was charged Monday with second-degree harassment, second-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after deputies responded to a Mayville business for a reported altercation. Deputies allege Schmid struck two other people and displayed a knife in a threatening manner. He was charged, taken to a local hospital for an evaluation that deputies say was unrelated to the incident and released with an appearance ticket to be in Chautauqua Town Court later.
ELLICOTT POLICE
– Joseph A. Snyder, 40, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny April 30 after Ellicott police responded to a complaint in Jamestown where it’s alleged Snyder was looking in house windows and backyards. Once identified by Jamestown police officers, Snyder was allegedly found to have a confirmed arrest warrant from Ellicott Town Court. Snyder was detained by Jamestown police officers until Ellicott police arrived. Officers took Snyder to the Ellicott Police Department, where he was processed and released with an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Steven M. Sandberg, 41, of Falconer was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on April 24 at 12:02 a.m. after Ellicott police responded to a suspicious situation where it is alleged a child in the custody of Sandberg was found wandering alone outside for an unknown period of time. Neighbors located the child and notified the Ellicott police officers. The child was safely returned home a short time later. Sandberg was issued an appearance ticket at the scene and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Shaun M. Cook, 47, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny at 2:36 p.m. April 24 after officers responded to a shoplifting complaint where it is alleged that Cook removed store property from a West Ellicott retail store without paying. Cook was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Richard A. Goodman, 39, of Falconer was charged with second-degree harassment at 1:30 p.m. April 29 after officers responded to a reported disorderly person at the Budget Inn where it is alleged Goodman dug his fingernails into another person. Goodman was charged and released with an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Devin S. Fuller, 29, of Falconer was charged with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood flow and second-degree obstructing governmental administration at 3 p.m. April 29 after officers responded to a domestic incident during which Fuller allegedly hit a person multiple times in the head and allegedly put his hands around the person’s neck, causing obstruction of breathing. Fuller was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Fuller will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Shyron Campbell, 39, of Ellicott was charged with second-degree harassment, first-degree criminal contempt, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest at 8:05 p.m. May 2. Ellicott police responded to a domestic incident at an Ellicott hotel where it is alleged Campbell grabbed a woman by the arm as she was holding a child. Campbell allegedly resisted arrest with officers upon contact and was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Campbell will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Tabitha J. Delahoy, 36, of Busti was charged with first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operation and five other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations at 1:16 a.m. May 9 after an officer allegedly saw Delahoy operating a vehicle with a license plate belonging to another vehicle. Officers pulled the vehicle over and found Delahoy’ driver’s license was allegedly suspended in New York. She was charged, taken to the Ellicott Police Department for processing and released with an appearance ticket to be in court later.
– Conner A. Dale, 18, of Jamestown, and Austin R. Sample, 22, of Jamestown were charged with possession of burglar tools, third-degree criminal tampering and petit larceny at 1:18 a.m. May 12 after officers on a routine patrol found a disabled vehicle on the side of the road. While investigating the incident, Dale and Sample allegedly tried to siphon gas out of a 2001 F-450 in an attempt to use that truck’s fuel to fuel their disabled vehicle. Dale and Sample were issued appearance tickets to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Douglas E. Puckett, 38, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment at 11:35 a.m. May 12 after officers responded to a domestic incident where it is alleged Puckett spat in his girlfriend’s face and smacked her drink out of her hand. Puckett was charged, processed at the Ellicott Police Department and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Puckett will be in court later.
– Lydia J. Davis, 34, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated- .18% BAC or higher at 1:37 p.m. May 12 after officers responded to a vehicle complaint where it is alleged Davis was driving erratically on Fairmount Avenue. An officer found the vehicle Davis was allegedly operating and observed numerous traffic violations. The officer pulled the vehicle over and found Davis was allegedly driving while intoxicated. She was arrested, processed, issued tickets and released to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Dustin Reagan, 40, of Ellicott was charged with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault at 9:45 a.m. May 13 after officers investigated a domestic incident at Reagan’s residence where it was alleged Reagan repeatedly struck and threw a woman down, causing minor injuries, as well as allegedly damaging her cell phone. Reagan was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Reagan will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Sarah E. Rodriguez, 31, of Ellicott was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child at 12:41 a.m. Saturday after officers responded to a domestic dispute where it is alleged an officer observed Rodriguez punch a man while holding a small child. The incident occurred in full-view of a second child. Rodriguez was issued an appearance ticket and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Edgardo C. Marquez, 39, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 9:47 a.m. Sunday after officers responded to a report of a man with a knife on the city’s east side. Upon arrival, officers encountered three men on the sidewalk and determined Marquez had allegedly threatened a person with a knife. Marquez was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Jeremy E. Thompson Jr., 19, of Buffalo was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 10:46 a.m. May 14 after a traffic stop near the Cameo Apartments. Officers report knowing the driver’s driver’s license was suspended, while Thompson Jr., a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly found in possession of a switchblade knife. Thompson Jr. was charged, taken to the city jail and released with an appearance ticket.
