CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— FALCONER — At around 5:40 p.m. Friday on Davis Street, deputies conducted a traffic stop for an observed infraction. The operator was identified as 64-year-old Donald E. Gustafson of Jamestown. Subsequent investigation into the matter led to his arrest for driving while intoxicated. Gustafson was transported to the Ellicott Police Department for processing. He was charged with DWI common law, DWI Per Se, and moving from lane unsafely. Gustafson was later released with tickets to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
— SINCLAIRVILLE — At around 11:36 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to an address for a reported assault. Upon arrival two male subjects were interviewed and determined to have been involved in a physical altercation with one subject sustaining injuries. The suspect was identified as 42-year-old Eric S. Morrison of Sinclairville. Morrison struck the other individual causing injury to his face and damage to his property. Morrison was transported to the Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was later transported to the county jail and booked in to await centralized arraignment.
— WESTFIELD — At around 2:11a.m. Saturday, deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. Through an investigation the operator was identified as Herman J. Harrington III, 39, of Mayville and was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was placed in custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was later released with appearance tickets.
— PORTLAND — At 7:53 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a complaint in the town. After an investigation, Jeremy Shampoe, 49, of Portland, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment. Shampoe will answer the charges later in town court.
— WESTFIELD — On Sept. 10,deputies were dispatched to a trespass complaint on Taylor Road in the town. Upon investigation, it was determined that Robert Williams, 62, of Celoron and Thomas Young, 68, of Niagara Falls had committed trespass. Williams and Young will be in town of Westfield Court at a later date.
— BEMUS POINT — Around 9:50 p.m. Sept. 19,the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Center Street. The operator was identified as Bret A. Naetzker. Further investigation found Naetzker, 62, of Lake Mary, Fla., to be driving while intoxicated. Naetzker was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and Speed in Zone. He will answer charges in the Town of Ellery Court.
— HANOVER — At 9:23 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Main Street. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Ryan J Abram, 26, of Forestville. Further investigation found Abram to be driving while intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, DWI per se, and speed in zone. Abram will answer charges at the Town of Hanover Court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Anthony M. Camarata, 41, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny and having outstanding warrants.
At 4 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a southside business for a reported past tense shoplifting. Officers arrived on scene and after reviewing surveillance footage, were able to identify the suspect to be Camarata. At 8:30 p.m., officers responded back to the business after it was reported that Camarata had returned to the store. Camarata was taken into custody without incident, and transported to Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.
— Austin T. Schwab, 29, and Nicole L. Hixson, 31, both of Jamestown, were charged with criminal trespass. At 9 a.m. Saturday, officers observed a male and female in a condemned residence on the north side of the City. The occupants were identified as Schwab and Hixson. Both were taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, booked and released.
