CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— FRENCH CREEK — At around 12:56 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to an address on Route 426 for a reported altercation. Upon arrival and after conducting an investigation, Brett Rater, 35, and Breeanna Byers, 35, both of French Creek, were charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. They were placed in custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

— HANOVER – At around 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to a report of harassment. After an investigation, it was found that 36-year-old Jaralyn E. Majak of Hanover, did violate an order of protection. Majak was taken into custody and charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment. Majak was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.
