SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— FRENCH CREEK — At 9:54 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at Route 426 and Harrington Hill. The operator was identified as Christopher L. Jones, 45, of Findley Lake. Further investigation found Jones to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, DWI per se and no or inadequate plate lights. He will answer for his charges in the Mina Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— A 17-year-old is facing a first-degree reckless endangerment charge.

Around 11:12 a.m., officers responded to the northern side of the city for the report that an individual had attempted to strike another person with a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located evidence consistent with the victim’s account. Officers made contact with the suspect, identified as a male juvenile, and conducted a show-up identification. The victim positively identified the juvenile as the operator of the vehicle involved in the incident. The 17-year-old was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown Juvenile Bureau. He was released to a parent and will return to court at a later date.

— Stephanie F. Green, 49, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and had an active bench warrant.

Around 10:37 a.m., Green was placed into custody in the

Jamestown City Hall for the warrant. An inventory of her property was being completed when a quantity of Suboxone, and methamphetamine was located in her pocket.

She was being held in the city jail, pending arraignment.
