CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— VILLENOVA — At 4:56 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police were conducting a welfare check at an address on Prospect Road. While on scene, Kate S Pinkowski, 41, of Forestville, became disorderly and began actively fighting with law enforcement officers on scene. As a result, Pinkowski was taken into custody and charged with attempted second-degree assault. Pinkowski was brought to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the centralized arraignment program. Pinowski is also facing additional charges from the New York State Police.
— HANOVER — At 12:44 a.m. Sunday, deputies were dispatched to an altercation. Through an investigation, it was determined that Samantha L. Hill, 34, did intentionally cause physical injury to another, and intentionally broke property inside the residence. She was arrested and transported to county jail for arraignment on third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief charges.
— Around 10 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to Brigham Road in the town of Dunkirk for an accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian. As a result of the accident the pedestrian was transported by Dunkirk Fire/EMS to Brooks-TLC Hospital for an apparent non-life-threatening injury.
— At 3:21 a.m., deputies observed a suspicious situation on Route 430. Deputies investigated the situation and while doing so identified one of the operators as Thomas Zemcik, 43, of Mayville. It was discovered through investigation that Zemcik was driving while intoxicated. He was charged and transported to the Sheriff’s Office. He will be in court later.
— At 6:24 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to an address for an alleged disorderly person. Through an investigation it was found that Justin Horton, 41, of Stockton had committed the offenses of second-degree criminal contempt, obstructing governmental administration and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Chris L. Freeney, 55, of Jamestown, was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
At approximately 7:45 p.m. Thursday, officers were on patrol in the northeast area of the
city. During patrol, officers observed a vehicle with equipment violations as well as a moving violation. Due to the observed vehicle and traffic law infractions Officers conducted a traffic stop. Through investigation, a passenger in the vehicle identified as Freeney was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun.
Freeney does not possess a valid New York State Pistol Permit and has been convicted of three felonies and 20 misdemeanors in his lifetime. While Freeney was being placed into custody he resisted arrest causing a brief struggle.
Freeney was subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was being held pending arraignment. Through further investigation it was discovered that the handgun Freeney was in possession of was reported stolen on a previous date in the City of Jamestown.
— Timothy T Jackson, 38, of Highland Hills, was charged with DWI, DWI per se and other traffic infractions early Sunday.
Officers were patrolling in the downtown area when they observed a traffic infraction on a vehicle traveling through the city. A traffic stop was conducted in the area of West Third and Cherry streets where the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Jackson. Further investigation discovered Jackson was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Jackson was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.
