JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Devin M. Berg, 40, was charged May 1 with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault, and criminal obstruction of breathing/blood flow. According to police, at about 9:47 a.m., officers responded to a westside address for a reported domestic incident. Following an investigation, it was determined that Berg allegedly choked and punched the victim. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - Harry L. Clayton II, 63, of North Benton, Ohio, was charged April 24 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and backing unsafely. According to officials, at about 8:08 p.m., deputies responded to a business in the town of Ripley for a report of a property damage accident between two semi-trucks. While conducting an investigation, it was determined that Clayton, an operator of one of the semi-trucks, allegedly was intoxicated while operating his vehicle. Kennedy man facing child porn charges

A 71-year-old Kennedy man is facing child pornography charges. In October, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into the possession and promotion of child pornography in the town of Poland. Through a lengthy investigation, investigators identified Steven K. Smith as the person allegedly responsible for these crimes. On Thursday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Smith’s Kennedy residence. A large quantity of Smith’s devices were seized and will later be forensically analyzed. A 38-year-old Jamestown man charged Tuesday with two counts of third-degree rape and three counts of forcible touching charges has a lengthy list of charges filed against him in recent months. Suit against Jamestown Court Judges dismissed

A former Jamestown man’s court case against two City Court judges has been dismissed. State Supreme Court Justice Grace Hanlon ruled Monday after oral argument and a slew of paperwork filed by Patrick Dhondt, now of Newark, N.Y., that Dhondt’s suit against Judge George Panebianco and Judge John LaMancuso is dismissed after a motion filed by the state Attorney General’s office. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Kiara C. Slaughter, 25, of Jamestown, was charged April 26 with driving while intoxicated, and aggravated DWI per se. According to police, at about 1:53 a.m., officers were patrolling in the area of Fulton and East Sixth streets, and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for observed traffic infractions. Through investigation it was found that Slaughter allegedly was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. She was placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail.
