Alleged crossbow murderer arraigned in court
A Jamestown man has officially been indicted in a murder earlier this year in the city. Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt announced that David Nelson was arraigned Monday in Chautauqua County Court by Judge David W. Foley on a one-count indictment charging him with second-degree murder, arising from the death of 62-year-old Michael Jaeckle of Jamestown. Nelson is accused of intentionally causing the death of Jaeckle by shooting him in the neck with a crossbow on Sept. 12.
