JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Brian A. Lowers, 38, of Jamestown, was charged Oct. 19 with resisting arrest, and a fourth-degree criminal mischief arrest warrant. According to police, at about 5:57 p.m., officers observed Lowers in the area of Forest Avenue and Warner Place. Officers knew Lowers had an active Jamestown City Court arrest warrant. Officers made contact with Lowers, and as they began to place Lowers into custody, he allegedly failed to comply. After a brief struggle, Lowers was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in city court later. - ...

DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT — A city man is facing charges after a domestic incident earlier this week. At 8:01 a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to a residence for a domestic dispute in progress. Upon arrival it was made known to officers the male half had locked the female complainant out of the house and one child was still indoors. Patrols were advised by the caller a physical domestic had occurred and the male half allegedly possessed a knife.
