CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – SILVER CREEK – Daniel J. Ulrich, 39, of Silver Creek was charged Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct. It is alleged that Ulrich intentionally struck another person at 23 Jackson St. He was released to appear in the Town of Hanover court at a later date and time to answer for these charges.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE CHAUTAUQUA – Alexander K. Latta, 30, of Mayville was charged Monday with second-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies allege that Latta menaced another individual with a knife in front of children around 9:20 p.m. in the town. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Armando Rosario, 43, and Heather M. Dempsey, 36, were charged after a traffic stop at 2:26 a.m. Monday near Winsor and Scott streets. Rosario was allegedly wanted on court warrants out of Pennsylvania. Chautauqua County police agencies participated in the New York State STOP-DWI End of Summer, 2025 High Visibility Engagement Campaign. The campaign began Wednesday, Aug. 13, and continued through Monday, Sept. 1. The event was funded by a 2024-2025 grant from the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee and is part of a national High Visibility Engagement Campaign effort. In Chautauqua County, the Chautauqua County Sheriff, municipal law enforcement agencies, and New York State Police vigorously enforce laws related to driving while impaired. Sinclairville woman sentenced for role in chase, husband to go to trial

WARREN, Pa. – A Sinclairville woman has been sentenced for her role in a car chase in October 2024 while charges against her husband will be heard in the Court of Common Pleas later this year. Rebekah Klein had previously pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree felony aggravated assault, one count of recklessly endangering another person, obstructing administration of law or other government and resisting arrest. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – CELORON – On Thursday around 12:15 a.m., the Celoron Fire Department and several mutual aid departments responded to a garage fire at 22 W 9th St. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team determined that the fire originated in the northeast portion of the garage and was caused by the malfunction of a lithium-ion battery back.
