CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — BEMUS POINT – At around 1:06 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Bemus Point-Ellery Road. The operator was identified as Abigail M. Jenkins, 25, of Rittman, Ohio. Further investigation found Jenkins to be driving while intoxicated. Jenkins was charged with DWI, and speed in zone. She will answer for her charges in the Ellery Town Court. A Fredonia man is facing drug charges after an incident Wednesday in the city of Dunkirk. City police report at 4:29 p.m. Wednesday, an officer observed a subject in a vehicle in the area of East Fifth Street and Park Avenue with a confirmed warrant out of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. Officers approached the vehicle and took the suspect, Dakota O. Cordell, 28, into custody. While doing so suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were observed in plain view inside the vehicle. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – HANOVER – Michelle Julian, 41, of Hanover was charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment. It is alleged that around 9 p.m. Julian was involved in an altercation and did strike an individual. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Hanover Court at a later date.

Hampton, 33, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 9:30 a.m. Monday after officers were flagged down by a person near North Main Street and West 15th Street. The woman said Hampton allegedly broke her cellphone. Hampton was reportedly found a few blocks away.
