Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane has announced that 41-year-old Anthony Rydzewski of Angola pleaded guilty Monday before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to one count of second-degree manslaughter, a Class C felony. The defendant pleaded guilty to the highest sustainable charge. BUFFALO – U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross has announced that Brandi M. Whitford, 28, of Jamestown, who was convicted of maintaining a drug-involved premise, was sentenced to time served and three years’ probation by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo. Five Cattaraugus County residents are facing multiple drug charges for allegedly selling crack cocaine to a minor. According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Naomi Lindgren, 45, of Gun Parker Road, Perrysburg; Vincent Thompson, 26, and Carolyn Kettle, 36, both of Burning Springs Road, Perrysburg; Donielle Storey, 31, of South Main Street, Salamanca; and Heather Chase, 32, of South Third Street, Olean all allegedly sold the minor the crack cocaine between January and February. SIX HURT IN ARKWRIGHT ATV ACCIDENT ARKWRIGHT -- An ATV accident injured six individuals and led to one victim being taken by helicopter to Buffalo. The Forestville Fire Department noted on its Facebook page the incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. Friday on Weaver Road. Accident closes transfer facility early An accident at the north county transfer station closed the facility early Thursday. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the location on Webster Road around 11:30 a.m. after a 79-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and had fallen into the garbage pit. Members of the Fredonia Fire Department were able to get the male out of the pit and transported him to ECMC with injuries to his legs. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – MAYVILLE – David Mclaughlin III, 30, of Mayville was charged July 3 with felony driving while intoxicated. Deputies said Mclaughlin was at the Sheriff’s Office for an unrelated matter and was charged with felony DWI due to having a previous DWI conviction in the last 10 years. He was also charged with aggravated DWI with having a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher. He will answer the charge in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.
