Fredonia Place invites nurses to happy hour Thursday

Fredonia Place will celebrate Nurses Week, May 6-12, by hosting a happy hour for all area nurses and support staff. This happy hour will be held Thursday at Fredonia Place, 50 Howard St., Fredonia, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be served.

Fredonia Place would like to recognize and thank the talented nurses of our community for their devotion and compassion to our residents, as well as to all patients in the community. This week is our opportunity to show our nurses that they make a difference on a personal level with their patients and their families. Nurses have a direct impact on each and every patient’s quality of life.

National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6 and ends on May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. As of 1998, May 8 was designated as National Student Nurses Day, to be celebrated annually. The nursing profession has been supported and promoted by the American Nurses Association since 1896. Each of ANA’s state and territorial nurses associations promotes the nursing profession at the state and regional levels. Each conducts celebrations on these dates to recognize the contributions that nurses and nursing make to the community.

For more information on Thursday’s event or to schedule a tour of Fredonia Place and lunch or dinner on us for you and a guest, contact the Sales Department at 679-2250, Ext. 1307, or log onto the website at www.fredoniaplace.com for more details on the Assisted Living and Memory Care Services that it provides to nearly 80 community residents in a safe, secure, scenic and comfortable setting.
