Chamber Corner

The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce is in business for business. Our consistent goal is to help you grow your business. We do this by driving traffic and sales for your business, connecting business people to one another, providing cost health insurance and human resources support, advocating on behalf of the business community, and supporting economic growth, tourism, and workforce development in our county.

During this time when it has become more challenging to reach other business people, the Chamber still has tools available to help. Each week our Chautauqua Business Weekly email is sent to more than 2,500 people in all business walks of life. One easy way for Chamber members to stay in touch with other members is by sending their own business news to the Chamber for inclusion in that weekly email. This is a service of your membership and will help keep you on the radar with other local businesspeople. Have a new employee? Made an address change? Offering a new product? Send us a short news release (photos are welcome) and we’ll put that information in front of the business community.

Keep your Chamber business profile up to date. It’s easy to do when you login to your Members Only portal. There you can conveniently update an address or phone number. Once your changes are accepted into our database they are automatically live in our searchable Business Directory online. You can also add social media links and update your business category listings for easy searchability.

While you’re logged in, please take a look at your Chamber referral report and the helpful Value on Investment tool embedded in our system. It’s a great way to see just how many people have directly viewed your business listing through our online system.

We encourage all Chamber member businesses to let customers know you are a member by displaying your membership window cling on your front door or a company vehicle. Include the phrase “proud to be a member of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce” in your advertising, and a Chamber logo on your website.

SIGN UP NOW FOR CHAMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT

A few things will be managed differently this year as we adhere to new social distancing regulations. The 2020 Chamber Golf Tournament is sponsored by: A Automotive, AW Farrell & Son, Bush Industries, Community Bank, Dahlstrom Roll Form, DFT Communications, Insurance Management Company, Jamestown Mattress Company, Koester Associates, Lake Shore Savings Bank, Lawley Insurance, National Grid, OBSERVER, The Post-Journal, and Shults Auto Group.

SAVE THE DATE FOR A VIRTUAL CHAMBER AWARDS BANQUET OCTOBER 8

Each year the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce honors some of the county’s most community-minded individuals during the Annual Awards Banquet. Normally we hold this event in a large space, gathering more than 300 people for a night of socializing and recognition. We are not able to have a large crowd in an enclosed space this year so it will be different. But make no mistake, we are still planning for an evening of celebration and will honor all of our award recipients with a special program. We are also planning for a special keynote speaker this year. Stay tuned for details to be announced and get ready to join us online for an awards program like no other. Save the date: October 8, 2020.
