Chamber sponsorships more valuable than ever

Our Chamber team has made a practice of taking a look back at some statistics as we close one calendar year and open a new one. The exercise this year was not only helpful, but also caused us to double-check some numbers. In 2023 the Chamber saw an 82.6-percent increase in attendance at our functions. That includes Business After Hours networking events, legislative breakfasts focused on conversations with elected officials, the Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament, Annual Awards Banquet, Annual Meeting, and Business Builder Workshops. New line for county’s biggest private employer drives headlines in ‘23

The Jamestown area is shaping up to become a key player in environmentally friendly transportation in the coming year. As The Post-Journal reported nearly a year ago, Cummins Inc. will bring its fuel agnostic X15N engine line to its Jamestown Engine Plant in 2024 as part of a multi-year project that ends in 2026 while Electrovaya is expected to open its Gigafactory in the former Acu-Rite building in Ellicott this year as well. Holiday window decorating winners announced

Over a six-week period from mid-November to mid-December, the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce promoted a countywide holiday window decorating contest for local businesses. 94 businesses signed up to participate, from Clymer to Silver Creek and many communities in between. Each business had to decorate their windows – visible from the outside – and each was assigned a number. Bailey Manufacturing gets loan for new warehouse

A Forestville manufacturer will soon be expanding. During the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency meeting Tuesday, John Hines with Bailey Manufacturing was in attendance regarding a proposed $130,000 loan. They plan to use the money to construct a new 7,000 foot warehouse. IDA ...
