Genealogical Society meets Sept. 16 CASSADAGA — The next meeting for the Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16 in the Cassadaga American Legion on Maple Avenue Historian Todd Langworthy will present a program about George Washington, comparing his real life and what is dramatized in the movie "Young Washington" which was a hit over the summer. Rabies Vaccination Clinic Scheduled For Sept. 17 In Ripley RIPLEY - The Chautauqua County Health Department and town of Ripley will host a rabies vaccination clinic from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Ripley town highway building, 50 Ross St., Ripley. Animals must be pre-registered to receive vaccinations. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older.
