Parking hearing canceled The public hearing on parking changes in the village of Fredonia, scheduled for 5 p.m. today, has been canceled until further notice. The village made the announcement on its website. Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on July 14 with 22 people in attendance. VFW Auxiliary sets upcoming plans SHERIDAN — The VFW Auxiliary of Sheridan Post 6390 met on Monday. During its meeting several items were discussed. Members' dues are payable starting now and no later than Dec. 31. The next District 6 meeting will be on Sept. 12 starting at 11 a.m. There will be a veterans' dinner at the post sometime in October and the auxiliary will offer assistance with that. Library plans reading remembrance SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library plans a poetry reading in memory of poet and teacher John Brantingham, who taught and published widely in the world, but locally at Chautauqua and JCC and also gave classes at our library. This will be a time to share our own original poetry and/or readings from Brantingham’s work.
