Spring rummage sale by the Trinity Episcopal Church Women planned for May 3, 4

A spring rummage sale by the Trinity Episcopal Church Women in Garland Hall ( back of the Church ) 11 Day St. Fredonia, is set for Friday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to noon. This is a clean sale of a variety usable items, and always a surprise of what is there. The last hour of the event is a bag sale which means, all you can fit in the bag for a nominal price. Come and explore the treasures.

Shred-It event coming to Westfield Saturday

WESTFIELD — Save the date! On Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to noon, the Westfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a Shred-It event at Westfield Hospital. Cost is $10 per container.

Shred-It specializes in providing document destruction services allowing customers to safely get rid of confidential information thus eliminating unwanted clutter in the home.

The Auxiliary hopes to see everyone on May 4 in the WMH side parking lot. All proceeds benefit ongoing WMH Auxiliary projects.

Amish Folk Art Quilt Class set for May 4

On Saturday, May 4, an Amish Folk Art Quilt Class – Trapunto Quilting – Various Dutch Designs, will be offered at the Leon Fire Hall, New Albion Road, Leon. This includes the history and lore surrounding the technique and great patterns! The schedule is: coffee and donuts at 8:30 a.m. then sewing and quilting at 9 a.m. with the Amish ladies teaching! $40 includes a homemade lunch and all supplies to complete one project. Registration is required. The Amish and English ladies are teaching in the heart of Amish Country!

Westfield to host annual book and paper show Saturday

On Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the 2019 Vintage Book and Paper Show & Sale takes place at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield. Presented by the Chautauqua County Historical Society, the event features approximately 20 dealers with vintage and rare books, historic maps, old photographs, postcards, posters, sports memorabilia and more. Friends of Anderson-Lee Library annual bake sale set for May 3

The Friends of Anderson-Lee Library in Silver Creek are pleased to announce that their annual bake sale will be held Friday, May 3. Stop at the library, 43 Main St. in Silver Creek to satisfy your sweet tooth and get a good book to read. The sale will be held from 9:30 a.m. until sold out. Come and get your choice of the best pie in town before it is all gone! All proceeds from the sale are used to enhance library materials.
