Dunkirk Flea Market opens this weekend

The Dunkirk Flea Market, located on the corner of Washington Avenue and Lake Shore Drive, will open for the summer beginning May 4-5. The Flea Market will be open on every weekend during the summer between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with the exception of Aug. 17 to 18.

Pine Valley to host prekindergarden roundup

The Pine Valley Central School will be hosting Universal Pre-Kindergarten Roundup for children who will enter UPK in the fall of 2019 on Friday, May 10, 2019. Notices have been sent to parents and children. If you have a child who will be four years of age on or before December 1, 2019 and have not received notification, please contact Ms. Colburn at the Elementary Office – 988-3291 ext. 3306.

VHS to hold monthly meeting

The Valley Historical Society will hold its May meeting on Tuesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. in the museum at Main and Lester streets, Sinclairville. The speaker will be local historian, Norman Carlson, speaking on “The history of Phillip Phillips, Cassadaga’s famous son.” All interested persons are invited to attend. There will be refreshments served after the meeting.

Villenova cemetery announces policy

It is the policy of the Villenova Burial Association that lots (plots) in Villenova Cemetery must be purchased prior to obtaining the right to a cremains or casket burial in a specific lot, row and section.
