Father’s Day Axe Throwing Fundraiser for CASA of Chautauqua
Join CASA of Chautauqua County on Father’s Day for a fun afternoon of Axe-throwing at the new Axcellent Adventures at Panama Rocks Scenic Park, 11 Rock Hill Road, Panama! Proceeds will benefit CASA of Chautauqua County to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the pursuit of safe and permanent homes. The cost is $20 per person for a one hour time slot. The fund-raiser will run from 2 to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Everyone is invited to attend. Forestville Community-Wide Yard Sales Saturday
The Forestville Community-Wide Yard Sales will be held on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A list of yard sales will be available at Cave’s Market on the day of sales. To have your sale on the list, sign up at Evans Bank or Cave’s Market.
Fredonia-Pomfret Republicans caucus
The Fredonia-Pomfret Republicans are caucusing for village offices up for election. The caucus will take place Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m. at Forest Lodge, 329 E. Main St., Fredonia. Registered Republicans are eligible to attend.
Fredonia Food Pantry to be open Saturday
On Saturday, June 15, The Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. until noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.
Citizens for a Better Cassadaga meet Thursday
The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga Library. Summer events such as the Strawberry Social, concert series, farmers’ market and Dale Drive walking path will be discussed.
Meet the Candidates event set
Meet the Candidates for Chautauqua County Legislative District 1 and NYS Senate District 57 will be held on June 19 at 7 p.m. in the Dunkirk City Hall Courtroom, 342 Central Ave., Dunkirk. The meeting is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County, and is free and open to all.
