Grape Discovery Center news

¯ The Grape Discovery Center hosts “Wine With Us Wednesday,” throughout the summer on Wednesdays until Labor Day. Enjoy award-winning wines from Lake Erie Wine Country by the glass or bottle. $4 feature wine every Wednesday! Light snacks are available for purchase. Enjoy in the tasting room or on the patio that is nestled in a Concord vineyard. The Grape Discovery Center is located at 8305 West Main Road, Westfield. Call 326-2003 with questions.

¯ The third annual Grape Belt Open will be held at Pinehurst Golf Club on Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The four-person scramble format is $65 per person and includes refreshments, dinner and awards. All proceeds benefit the Grape Discovery Center, allowing the center to continue and operate as a non-profit, encourage tourism and educate all about the grape-growing history in the Lake Erie Region. Note that the Grape Discovery Center is seeking Tee and Corporate sponsors for this event. Tee sponsorship is only $50. Ripley breakfast to benefit Quincey Cemetery

The Ripley United Methodist Church is hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday, July 13 from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church, 84 W. Main St. in Ripley. Enjoy pancakes, sausage, bacon, made-to-order eggs and omelets, home fries, biscuits and sausage gravy, orange juice and coffee for $7. This month’s breakfast will benefit the Quincey Cemetery Association.
