Central Ave. paving Tuesday, Wednesday

The Village of Fredonia DPW would like to inform residents that beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13 through Wednesday, Aug. 14, crews will be paving Central Avenue from Forbes Place to the Dunkirk city line. Expect delays, road closures, no on-street parking and lane restrictions during the project. It is also recommended residents use alternate routes during this time. Please respect the safety of the employees working in the area and exercise caution.

Brocton Sons of the Legion squad 434 to meet

The Brocton Sons of the Legion squad 434 will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 13. The meeting will be held at the American Legion Post, 110 West Main St., Brocton at 7 p.m.

Telephone retirees’ meeting is Thursday

The next DFT Telephone Company Retirees meeting will take place Thursday, Aug. 15 at 9 a.m. at Demetri’s on the Lake, 6 Lake Shore Drive W., Dunkirk. All retirees are invited. The get-together always takes place the third Thursday of the month.
