Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association annual show

Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its annual antique equipment show Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location is 4578 Cemetery Road off Route 380, Stockton. The gate fees for adults are $5 and admission is free for under 14. The Friday, Senior Citizen Day price for seniors is $3. Features include demonstrations of the way things were done in days past, such as saw mill, blacksmithing, printing press, veneer cutting of logs, quilt display, household items and many other displays. There will be good food including chicken barbecues. Other activities will be garden tractor pulls, antique tractor pulls, a flea market, quilt show, parades, games, and kids’ pedal tractor pulls. There is free parking. Memberships in the association are available for $7 single or $10 per family.

Silver Creek to Flush Hydrants August 20

The village of Silver Creek will be flushing hydrants during the day and going into the night-time beginning August 20.
