Pancake fundraiser for Troop 267 set

In July 2020 Troop 267 is sending eight scouts and four leaders to the Philmont High Adventure Base in Northern New Mexico. The trek will include 12 days of backpacking through the mountains that make up the camp, as well as white water rafting and rock climbing in Colorado.

The Troop’s Philmont crew is holding an “All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast Fund-raiser” at Applebee’s (Vineyard Drive) from 8 to 10 a.m. this Saturday, Sept. 14. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the door.

AARP Driver Safety Classes scheduled

Two AARP Driver Safety Classes have been scheduled at the Fredonia Masonic Lodge, 321 E. Main Street, for the following dates:

Monday, Sept. 16 and Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1 to 4 p.m.. both days, and Monday, Oct. 7 & Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1 to 4 p.m. both days.

The cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members.

Anyone 18 and older with a valid NYS driver’s license may attend to receive up to 10 percent off their liability and collision insurance. The class may also be taken for point reduction (up to 4 points). Payment is by check or money order made out to AARP. Participants need to bring a pen, driver’s license and AARP membership if a member.

CCAEA Fall Tractor pull Saturday

The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its Fall Tractor pull on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the show grounds, 4578 Cemetery Road, off Route 380, Stockton. Garden tractor weigh-in starts at 9 a.m., with the event starting at 10 a.m. The antique tractor pull starts at noon and runs until finished. This is a free event and opened to the public.
