Village of Brocton Board of Trustees schedule change

The Village of Brocton Board of Trustees will no longer meet on the first Wednesday of each month. Instead, the Board will meet every third Wednesday at 6 p.m. for a workshop with the regular meeting to follow at 6:30 p.m. Meetings will take place at Village Hall, 34 W. Main St., Brocton. This schedule begins Nov. 20.

Dayton Volunteer Fire Co. to host ham, turkey party

On Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m., a ham and turkey party will be held at the Dayton Volunteer Fire Company, 9512 Route 62. Prizes will include meat, miscellaneous door prizes and a raffle. Call Bruce at 913-4167 for more information.

Revitalize Dunkirk Meeting Notice

The next monthly meeting of Revitalize Dunkirk will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

Revitalize Dunkirk is a 501(c)3 organization committed to bringing planning ideas for improving urban living to residents and elected officials of the City of Dunkirk to preserve the historic heritage, enhance the physical infrastructure, reinvigorate commerce, and boost community pride.

DFT retirees meeting Thursday

The next DFT Telephone Company Retirees meeting will take place Thursday, Nov. 21 at 9 a.m. at Demetri’s on the Lake, 6 Lake Shore Drive W., Dunkirk. All retirees are invited. The get-together always takes place the third Thursday of the month.

Lakeshore Humane Society holiday hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society announces that there will be no evening open hours on the following Wednesdays: Nov. 27, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. There will be no changes to the Saturday Adoption Days (noon to 3 p.m.) during the holiday season.
